I always say that we live such a boring, uneventful life, but that has not been the case these past few weeks. They have been so chaotic, to say the least! But finally, I feel like I can sit back, relax and blog! In fact, Sunday I even sat outside for a while and got a little sun. That was until there were 5 cops, 4 squad cars and a cop dog surrounding my neighbors house. Apparently the two Verizon Wireless employees passing out flyers at 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon in my neighborhood looked like they were breaking into someone’s house. I always hate when burglars dress up and wear a blue-tooth; totally obvious! Regardless, I have missed a few weeks of re-caps and even though we now are back to our boring lives and I have some free time, I don’t want to go back and figure out every little thing we have been doing. I will just point out some of the highlights and lowlights of the past few weeks.
The furthest back tidbit I find exciting is Landon’s 6 month doctors appointment. I am not sure why I find these so exciting, he sure doesn’t! I probably wouldn’t either if I got stuck with 4 needles and had other inflicted pain. Ouch! My little man is not so little anymore.. he has moved into the 5th percentile for weight now, he’s a big 14.8 pounder. He hasn’t gotten much taller.. still around the 20th percentile (25.7”) The doctor told us he is projected to be 5 ft 9”. Crazy to think my little man will be taller than me one day! The doctor also told us all of the wonderful things Landon can be eating now that he has hit that 6 month age. I think Landon slipped him some cash; he is in heaven. Peas, carrots, prunes, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, puffs and even pizza (well at least the crust)…. He loves everything. I am pretty sure he won’t have a problem with any food.
He’s a little tank!
A few weeks ago my baby-sitter thought she had sprained her ankle, but as she kept walking on it, it got much worse. She went to the doctor and found out she broke her ankle and had to have surgery! This is not good for her, or us! When this happened, Landon went to my sisters one day, my mom and dad’s one day, Grandma Schrock came to watch him one day, I took off work one day and then my mom watched him on Friday. I hated every day of that! (Except of course the day I was home!) I felt horrible passing him around like a little rag doll. I don’t think I have ever been so stressed in my life. Thank you SO much though to all of the wonderful people who helped out watching him and all of the people who offered to watch him. It is such a hard thing trying to find someone to watch your child and especially in such a short time frame. We were very lucky to find someone to fill in while our sitter is recovering. She is a blessing! Now I can finally breathe knowing he is happy and in good hands!
We have done a lot of great things these past few weeks, got our first family pictures taken, had my mother’s day massage, (a-mazing!) had the in-laws over for lunch, hung out with our friends, rocked the Schrock’s dance studio, got a few steps closer to finishing the basement, went out on the lake a few times.. but since I am a slacker, I am not going to talk about it all. See this whole blog thing is a great idea, if I actually do it!
With that being said, I will be back as planned, next week…
I might WILL!
The Schrockstars
My Main Man Landon
The Boston Girls
Fun In the Sun
The Only Frog I'll Kiss
Jer, Kordell and Dave
I find it funny that about 99% of the songs I have posted on here have been country when I don’t like country! But.. for the sake of this song, it does have Ludacris in it…
I knew I liked it for some reason.
